From TCT 2007, Dr. Jeffrey Popma and Dr. Harvey White discuss new universal definitions
for myocardial infarction. Dr. White identifies five different types of infarction as the
following: (1)Spontaneous infarction, (2)old infarct supply and demand, (3)sudden death,
(4)a. PCI b.stent thrombosis, (5)bypass surgery. They also discuss the benefits of
switching between anticoagulants, and possibilities of the new antiplatelet agents.
