Sanofi-Aventis provided support for the research project but the steering committee was
responsible for the design and the execution of the trial and for all of the results and
interpretation.
Dr. Kowey disclaims that he has been a consultant and speaker for Sanofi-Aventis as well
as for several other pharmaceutical companies that develop and manufacture antiarrhythmic
drugs for ventricular indications.
